Rounds 10-23
will be worked the same way as round 10, changing colors for the band as below.

The Band: for the white hat I made 3 rounds in contrast color (rounds 20, 21, 22), for the hot pink hat I made only 2 rounds (rounds 20, 21). Your choice if you want to make the band wider or narrower.

To make the band, at the end of round 19 sl st tight with the color B yarn and continue working with color B the rounds 20, 21 and 22 the same way as round 9; at the end of round 22 sl st tight with color A yarn and continue working the round 23 with color A yarn the same as round 9. Cut color B yarn.

The brim
The brim it is worked with sc in back loops only. To avoid gaps, try to work the stitches not loosely; at the end of the rounds, work your last stitch picking together the back loop of the stitch and from the back side of your work a loop from previous round. Otherwise you will have gaps. You'll have 3 rounds with increases, each increase to 16 stitches.

Round 24: Continue with color A yarn, ch1, 1 sc blo in each hdc across the round, sl st to top of first sc (in both loops). (96 stitches)

Round 25: ch1, *2 sc blo in the same stitch, 1sc blo in each of the next 5 stitches*, repeat around from * to *, sl st to top of first sc. (112 stitches)

Rounds 26 and 27: ch1, 1sc blo in the same stitch and 1 sc blo in each stitch across, sl st to top of the first sc. (112 stitches )

Round 28: ch1, 1sc blo in the same stitch, 1sc blo in each of the next 3 stitches, 2 sc blo in next stitch, *1sc blo in each of the next 6 stitches, 2sc blo in next stitch*, repeat around from * to *, ending with 1 sc blo in each of the last 2 stitches; join with sl st to top of first sc. (128 stitches )

Rounds 29 and 30
: ch1, 1sc blo in same stitch and 1 sc blo in each stitch across, join with sl st to top of first sc. (128 stitches )

Round 31: ch1, *2sc blo in same stitch, 1sc blo in each of the next 7 stitches*, repeat around from * to *, join with sl st to top of first sc (144 stitches) Rounds 32-34: ch1, 1sc blo in same stitch and 1 sc blo in each stitch across, join with sl st to top of first sc. (144 stitches). Cut yarn. Note: For the white hat I made one round less!

Brim Edging:
Join color B yarn with a sl st and make 1 tw sc in same stitch, ch2, skip 2 stitches, *1 tw sc in next stitch, ch2, skip 2 stitches*, repeat around from * to *, sl st through the steam of the first tw sc (on the back side of your work) as in the collage below. Cut yarn. Weave in the ends.
