Lacy Shells Hat - Free Charted Pattern


Because of you are visual crocheters, I have created a charted pattern for the Lacy Shells Hat.

Spring Lacy Hat Crochet Pattern

Yarn used: Caron Simply Soft
Hook size: 5 mm and 4,5 mm (see the written instructions)
Size: toddler. For smaller/ larger sizes, add less/more rounds with increases for the crown of the hat.

Crochet Hat Lacy Shell Stitch - Free Charted Pattern

Note: Between the written instructions and the charted pattern of the crown there are some differences, because in the charted version it is shown the usual method of joining in the round; starting with chain 3 at the beginning of the round, the rounds are joined with a slip stitch into the top of the beginning chain 3.

The crown of the hat with increases
- rounds 1-5 (for a toddler size; if you want a smaller/larger size, make less/more rounds with increases);
- the first round of the sides with the shell pattern, round 6:

The sides:
Pictured below is a reduced sample of the pattern for the sides: round 5, the last round with increases of the crown;
rounds 6-18 the sides.
