”Lava Fox” C2C Square - Wildlife Graphghan
NOTES:
- You will work the C2C square on the diagonal starting from bottom right corner to top left.
- The uneven rows will be on the right side of work, while the even rows on the wrong side of work.
- The pattern includes row written row by row instructions for color counts and a downloadable color pixel graph that you can find below the written instructions!
- The Lava Fox C2C Pattern is worked using the C2C in hdc (half double crochet), that makes for a smaller C2C with less holes then the C2C worked with the double crochet.
You can find the basic instructions of the C2C in half double crochet, tips for color changes (with Video Tutorials) and the links to the new squares added each week on the Wildlife Graphghan CAL Page! .
GAUGE:
6 C2C tiles x 6 C2C tiles = 10 x 10 cm (4 inches x 4 inches)

CROCHET METHOD C2C WITH THE HALF DOUBLE CROCHET :

So pretty! True, I'm a bit partial here, cause I LOOOOVE foxes!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! :)
DeleteI am left handed and was wondering how I can do this one.
ReplyDeleteHi Anne, you will start reading the graph from the bottom left corner and work on the diagonal until you reach the top right corner. There are video tutorials on YouTube. Just search for "How to Crochet a Graphgan with C2C Stitch (Left Handed)".
DeleteGreat post.
ReplyDeleteI have never done a grafgan of any kind when it says the t3 oro4 orb5 is this the number of block's like t3 dose that mean do 3 blocks that color
ReplyDeleteYes, exactly! You can see the graph and compare with the written instructions. The visual is a great help.
ReplyDeleteI've done several C2Cs, but have not used one for graphghans. I understand the chart and how to make each block, but, I don't see how many chains to make to begin each row. Some directions call for 5 chains, others, 6 chains. So, how many for this, and how many half dbls in each block, subsequently? Thank you. ))
ReplyDeleteHi Greemy, I am using the c2c with the hdc for all my c2c squares. You can find detailed instructions here: http://www.myhobbyiscrochet.com/p/wildlife-graphghan-cal.html
Deletech 5 to begin. 3 hdc for each block.
DeleteJust discovered your blog and have fallen in love with the Wildlife Graphghan CAL. Definitely going to give this one a go 😁
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm glad that you like my animal squares. Would love to see pictures if you'll make them. :)
DeleteHello, I would like to subscribe for this blog to obtain newest updates, therefore where can i do it please help out.
ReplyDeleteWhen you open a page on the blog, a subscribe form should pop up. Or at the end of each blog post there a Subscribe to the FREE Newsletter link.
DeleteHow do you access the "print friendly version" that you spoke of in another comment?
ReplyDeleteYes, Kinga, where do you access the "print friendly version"?
DeleteHi Kinga! Did you release #16? I thought I got an email about it but can't find the email OR the pattern now! Thank you! I love these patterns!
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous pattern. Thank you for sharing it with the world for free. I knit but do not crochet. I will learn the basics first and then come back to this hopefully soon!
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome! You could use my graph for knit also. :)
DeleteAny video tutorial mam?
ReplyDeleteThere are general videos for the c2c method with the hdc used for the squares + crisp color changes on the Wildlife Graphghan CAL page, linked in this post.
DeleteGreat graphs! Do you need to block the squares before joining them together?
ReplyDeleteYou can gentle block them, so that they end up the same size.
DeleteI was following this pattern got to row 15 but then I keep ending up with one extra teal block
ReplyDeleteHi, please check all your block colors. You have made a mistake somewhere.
DeleteDo you have any videos for making each block? It would be really helpful to work along with one or two of them.
