Don't lose these patterns!
The idea of making these cute little projects started by the request of a good friend of mine, who is a teacher and also a fellow crafter, but lately having not much time to crochet.
Devoted to her work and students, she thought to give small crochet surprises to her first grade students having good results and a nice behavior.
Wanting to give her a helping hand in this project, I've asked myself what would be cute, but at the same time useful for the little students, something that they will love!
These bookmarks are just a part of my surprises for her students.

Note: The turtle in the original pattern has no turtle shell, I have designed my own pattern for it!

Note: When you change the colors in the round, carry the yarns working around the strand of other color yarn.
With green yarn make a magic ring.
Round 1: 6 sc into ring, sl st with red to top of first sc.
Round 2: Continue with red, chain 1, work 2 sc in same stitch and 2 sc in each stitch around. Sl st with green to top of first sc. (12 sc total)
Round 3: Continue with green, ch 1, work 2 sc in same stitch; with red 1 sc in each of the next 2 sc, (with green 2 sc in next sc, with red 1 sc in each of the next 2 sc) x 3 times.
With green yarn make a magic ring.

Your round will end with red yarn; sl st with red to top of the first sc. (16 sc total)
Round 4: Continue with red, ch1, 1 sc in same stitch and 1 sc in each stitch around. Sl st to the first sc. (16 sc total)
Cut yarn, leaving a long tail to sew the turtle house to the turtle body.

This lizard bookmark it is my son's favorite! :) He made me promise that I will make another one for him! I loved the pattern, very fun and easy to follow, great for beginners also.
