How to Search and Download Free Crochet Patterns on Craftsy

Did you know that among great online crochet classes, supplies and kits, you can find thousands of FREE crochet patterns on Craftsy? All patterns are offered by independent crochet designers in the form of PDF files that can be stored in your personal library on Craftsy. You can also download the patterns on your device whenever you want.

If you are new to Craftsy, you will need to sign up for a free account using your email address or your Facebook account, as pictured below.

If you're already a Craftsy member, after you sign in, you can browse through all the patterns available.

Supposing you are looking for FREE Crochet Hat Patterns as I did, you will need to follow these simple steps:
type „hat“ in the search bar on top of the screen and choose the option „hat in patterns”.

choose “Crocheting” in the “Category” filter on the left and

“Sort by Lowest Price” on the right. Now all the free crochet hat patterns will be listed first.  

You can tighten up your search, using the other filters on the left: "Made for" (all, men, women, girls, boys, baby/infant, plus sizes, etc..) and "Difficulty" (novice, beginner, intermediate, advanced, expert).

After you choose the free pattern you want, click on the “Add Digital Pattern to Cart” button.

The next step is to add the pattern to your pattern library, by clicking “Add to My Patterns” button! Store it there and download it at any time onto your device.

In the picture below you can see how to find the patterns you' ve collected in your Pattern library the next time you sign into your Craftsy account. Click on “My Craftsy” on top right, then on “My Patterns” on the left.   

I have found more than 100 free crochet hat patterns on Craftsy! Here are some of my favorites:

I love the style of this “Reversible Textured Slouch” by Bonita Patterns, that on the right side has a ribbed look and on the wrong side a textured spiral look.

Rina’s Hat by Pattern Paradies is very versatile, coming with more brim options.

 The “Sly Fox Hat” by Goodknits is super cute and has such a clever design!
