The Mandala Flowers C2C Scrubby/ Square it's a free crochet pattern that includes written row by row instructions for color counts followed with a color pixel graph at the end of this post.

For this pattern I have used 3 colorways of Red Heart Scrubby yarn that I have received a while back from Red Heart Yarns. To make this crochet dishcloth or potholder, you can also use other cotton yarn of your choice.

There is also a second version of the pattern available with 4 color suggestions. I have not stitched it up, but made the graph and wrote the instructions for that version too. I like that version more, but I have not had those yarn colors.

You can also turn this dishcloth pattern into a double sided potholder. For this, you will work two c2c squares: one with the mandala flowers motif and the other (having the same size) in one solid color. After making a border on each of the 2 pieces, you will sew them together.

To understand this pattern, you will need to be familiarized with the corner to corner method.

If this is the first time crocheting c2c with the half double crochet, make sure to check out the video tutorials - one of them regarding crisp color changes - featured at the end of this page:Wildlife Graphghan CAL Page!

The Border: is worked in joined rounds; do not turn your work.

Round 1: work 38 hdc sts evenly placed around each side of the square, in the corner sts work (2 hdc, 1 ch, 2hdc) in same corner st; join with slst to top of first st at the beg of round. Place stitch markers into the ch1 of each corner. Cut yarn and fasten off invisibly.

Round 2: Join yarn color C with a standing sc into a corner st; work 1 sc in each hdc st across the sides and 2 sc into the corners. Join with slst to top of first st at the beg of round. Do not cut yarn, if you would like to add a hanging loop.

Hanging Loop: continue at the last corner, chain 15, join into same st in corner base; then work around the chain loop about 20 single crochet sts, join with sl st to first st. Cut yarn and weave in all end. Block your crochet square!
