How to Crochet: Invisible Decrease Front Post Double Crochet versus Front Post Double Crochet Two Together | Tutorial

In this post I will show you 2 ways of decreasing front post double crochet stitches!
The first way is what I call an Invisible Decrease Front Post Double Crochet and the 2nd.one is the Front Post Double Crochet Two Together Decrease.

Use the decrease you like the most, I personaly prefer the invisible one, because it's quick and easy to do!

INSTRUCTIONS

How to crochet (Invisible) Decrease Front Post Double Crochet (dec fpdc)

Invisible Decrease Front Post Double Crochet

  1. yarn over (yo) and insert your hook from front to back to front around the post of both next 2 stitches,
  2. yo, pull up a loop,
  3. yo, pull thru 2 loops on your hook,
  4. yo, pull thru remaining two loops on your hook.

How to crochet Front Post Double Crochet Two Together Decrease (fpdc2tog)

Front Post Double Crochet Two Together Decrease

  1. yarn over (yo) and insert your hook from front to back to front around the post of the next st,
  2. yo, pull up a loop; (you have now 3 loops on your hook)
  3. yo, pull thru 2 loops on your hook,
  4. having 2 loops on your hook, yo and insert your hook from front to back to front around the post of the next st,
  5. yo, pull up a loop; (you have now 4 loops on your hook)
  6. yo, pull thru 2 loops on your hook (you have now 3 loops on your hook)
  7. yo and pull thru all 3 loops on hook

As you can see, to work the fpdc2tog decrease you will need to make more steps as for the invisible one!
