Learn how to crochet a beautiful crochet border with twisted lacy shells that you can use for any c2c / corner to corner blankets, shawls, scarves and more.
You can also use this crochet border pattern for blankets crocheted in straight, horizontal rows, just make sure the stitch multiple along the blanket sides is 3, with an extra stitch in each corner.
I have used this kind of border for my Lacy Seashells C2C Blanket pattern worked with lacy corner to corner (c2c) and solid c2c box stitches. I thought that a more lacy border would make a better fit!
The twisted lacy shell border is not only pretty, but it uses less yarn and it doesn’t add much bulk on the edges, making the finished project lighter as when crocheting traditional twisted shells of 5 dc or 7 dc sts.
I’m showing you how to crochet this border on my lacy corner to corner crochet square sample, but you can use it with the regular corner to corner c2c stitch.
Identifying the box stitches (c2c sts) along the edges of your projects is essential, because you will first work a set up border round inserting the hook in between the box stitches.
